N°89 - Eau de Toilette
Description
N°89 is an Eau de Toilette of the English niche brand Floris, official supplier of the Royal House since 1820.
1951. The building at 89 Jermyn Street in London has always been known as a meeting place for the English nobility. The doors of the boutique, furnished with refined Spanish mahogany furniture, opened wide and welcomed - as they do every time - a long queue of customers eagerly waiting to be served. The first, an impeccably dressed man, said in a gentle and calm tone: "Give me your usual one, please, a No. 89".
N°89 is an Eau de Toilette rich in raw material. Elegant and delicately woody, it dresses the figure of the gentleman with an unexpected and unusual floral hint (in the 50s intended only for women's fragrances). Dedicated to the street number of the Floris boutique (once the family home), in whose basement all the fragrances were produced, it is considered among the most renowned of English perfumery and sees among its most devoted users Cary Grant, Sir Alec Guinness and Ian Fleming , creator of James Bond.
